Overview

KWD were appointed to Design & Build the new Terminal 3 Cabin Crew base for Qantas and relocate all staff on a critical timeline between T4 and T3 to work with departing and arriving flights. KWD worked closely with BAA with regard to the building Mechanical and Electrical services and the fact that all deliveries of goods had to be made between 11pm and 5am due to flight operating hours and general public access. We also worked closely with the Qantas team in London and Sydney via weekly conference calls to design the space with workflow process in mind.

The design considered the arrival of Cabin Crew staff to the facility, with internet access, relaxation, briefing, changing/grooming facilities all prior to flight departure and achieved the accommodation of all staff within a confined space allowance
