With the purchase of a new fleet of A380 aircraft Qantas appointed KWD to Design & Build a new training facility. KWD embarked on an intensive design process to replicate the 747 and A380 aircraft interiors as PODS along with training rooms, full catering kitchen, cold room and administration offices.

The PODS were exact in every detail with independent air conditioning and fresh air, overhead luggage unit lighting on dimmer control, sliding DORMA glass doors with PIR access, with actual galley kitchens and seats from the aircrafts concerned. The PODS accurately depicted the Economy, Premium Economy, Business and 1st Class of travel in every detail.
New Cabin Crew staff use this Showcase facility as their first day contact with Qantas and gain as close an experience to being on the aircraft as is possible within a training environment.

KWD covered every aspect of detail to replicate the travel experience, we were able to visualise the PODS prior to construction through 3D model rendering. We and all the staff that pass through this fantastic facility are extremely pleased with the way it works.
